Privacy Policy

Thank you for using Hue Sense (“the App”), a color identification and color vision assistance tool developed by Rohan Ahmad / Creaeza (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

The App operates primarily as a local, on-device tool. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the core features of the App.

If you contact us for support, you may voluntarily provide:

  • Your name and email address
  • A description of your issue or inquiry

This information is used solely to respond to your support request.

1.2 Device Permissions

To function properly, the App requests the following device permissions:

  • Camera — Required to identify colors in real time via your device camera. Camera images are processed entirely on-device and are never transmitted to our servers.
  • Photo Library / Media Storage — Required when you select a photo from your gallery for color analysis. Photo data is processed locally and is not stored or uploaded by us.

We do not access your camera or photo library at any time other than when you actively use those features within the App.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

If you purchase the paid unlock via an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). We do not receive your payment card details. We may receive a confirmation of the transaction from the respective platform.

We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking tools in the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect only for the following purposes:

  • To provide the core features of the App (color identification, color vision simulation, saved colors)
  • To process and confirm in-app purchases
  • To respond to support requests you initiate
  • To improve the App based on general, non-identifiable usage patterns (if analytics are introduced in a future version, this policy will be updated and you will be notified)

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

All color data, saved palettes, and color history are stored locally on your device using standard app storage. This data is not transmitted to any external server.

We take reasonable precautions to protect the limited information we hold (e.g., support emails), including standard encryption for data in transit. However, no method of data transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data (history, saved colors, preferences) will be permanently deleted from your device.

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional one-time paid unlock (“Hue Sense Pro”) that provides access to additional features. All purchases are processed by:

  • Google Play — for Android users
  • Apple App Store — for iOS users

We do not directly process or store your payment information. All billing, refund, and subscription management is handled by the respective app store platform. Please refer to Google’s or Apple’s Privacy Policy for information on how they handle your payment data.

5. Children’s Privacy

Hue Sense is designed for general audiences and is particularly useful for users with color vision deficiency, including minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area).

Since the App does not require account registration or any personal data input, it is safe for use by children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at the email below and we will promptly delete it.

6. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social media platforms. The only third-party interactions are:

  • Google Play / Apple App Store — for app distribution and in-app purchase processing
  • Device OS camera and photo APIs — for on-device color analysis

These services are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access — Request information about what personal data we hold about you
  • Deletion — Request deletion of any personal data we hold (e.g., support emails)
  • Correction — Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Portability — Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw Consent — Withdraw camera or photo library permissions at any time via your device settings

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address provided in Section 10. We will respond within 30 days.

Note: Since the App stores all usage data locally on your device, you can delete your color history, saved palettes, and all App data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing App data via your device settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain support-related communications (emails) for up to 12 months after your inquiry is resolved, after which they are permanently deleted.

All other App data (color history, saved palettes, preferences) exists only on your device and is not retained by us. You control this data entirely.

9. International Users

Hue Sense is available globally, including in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and the European Union. If you are located in the EU or EEA, please note:

  • We process only the minimal data necessary to operate the App (data minimization principle)
  • We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling
  • Our legal basis for processing support-related data is your consent, provided when you contact us

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify you through the App or the app store listing.

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
