Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Gati, an Android app made by Rohan Ahmad. By installing or using it, you agree to them.

1. What Gati is

Gati calculates statistics about your life from information you provide during setup, reveals one each day, and suggests real places near you.

2. Your account

An account is optional — the app works fully without one. If you create one:

• Give an email address you control
• You are responsible for activity under your account
• Do not share it, or try to access anyone else’s

We may suspend an account that abuses the service, attempts to circumvent payment, or attacks the infrastructure.

3. Subscriptions

Gati may offer an optional paid subscription (Gati Pro).

• Billing is handled by Google Play. We never see your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price until cancelled.
• Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
• Manage or cancel in the Google Play Store, under Subscriptions.
• The price shown in the app is the price Google Play charges in your local currency, including any applicable tax.

Free trial, where offered: unless cancelled before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically.

Refunds are handled by Google Play under their policies. We cannot issue them directly, though we will help where we can.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel in Google Play first.

If a subscription lapses, is refunded, or is cancelled, paid features stop working. Anything you already unlocked stays readable.

4. Location and places

Place suggestions come from Google Places. We do not own, operate, inspect or endorse any location shown.

Ratings, opening hours and distances come from third parties and may be wrong or out of date. Check before travelling.

You are responsible for your own safety. Assess any place before visiting and take normal precautions. We accept no liability for anything that happens at a suggested location.

5. Acceptable use

Do not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the app
• Attempt to unlock paid features without paying
• Overload, attack or attempt to breach the service
• Scrape or resell content from the app
• Use it unlawfully

6. Content you create

Notes you write in your Story timeline remain yours. We store them only to sync them to your devices, and never use them for anything else.

Ratings you give places are used in aggregate to help other users. Only the aggregate is shown — never your individual rating, and never your identity.

7. Availability

Gati is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Features that depend on third parties — place search, sign-in, notifications, billing — may be unavailable if those services are. Features may change or be removed; if we remove something significant that you paid for, we will say so in advance.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for decisions made based on the app’s statistics, or for anything occurring at a suggested place.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

9. Ending it

You may stop at any time by uninstalling, and delete your account in Profile → Delete account. See our account deletion page for details.

We may terminate access for breach of these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before taking effect. Continuing to use Gati afterwards means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Nothing here removes consumer protection rights you have where you live.
