A plain-language summary of what Gati collects, matching the Data Safety declaration submitted to Google Play. If you want the legal detail, read the Privacy Policy.
An account is optional. Gati works fully signed out, keeping everything on your phone. Nothing in the table below is collected until you choose to sign in — except precise location, which is used only while you are looking at nearby places and is never stored.
| Data | Why | Required? | Shared? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | Personalising your greeting and share cards | Optional | No |
| Email address | Identifying your account and sending your sign-in code | Optional | No |
| Date of birth & lifestyle answers | Every number in the app is calculated from these | Required | No |
| Precise location | Finding real places near you. Used and discarded — never stored against you | Optional | No |
| App activity | Which numbers you opened, your streak, saved places and notes | Required | No |
| Purchase history | Confirming a subscription is active. No card details ever reach us | Optional | No |
This is the part most apps are vague about, so to be specific:
Nobody buys it, and nobody receives it for their own purposes. We use a small number of service providers who process data only on our instructions: Supabase (database and sign-in), Google Play (sign-in and billing), Google Places (place search), Firebase (notification delivery) and OpenAI (short place descriptions).
Google Places and OpenAI receive nothing about you — only an precise coordinate, or a place name and category.
In the app: Profile → Delete account. Full instructions, including what is deleted and what is kept, are on the account deletion page.
